Location: Something outside Orchard and Marina area. Possible areas are Holland Rd, Bukit Timah and other suitably nice areas with more reasonable property prices. Not too far from town as well, though not necessarily central.

Security: It will have to be in an area/complex with good security infrastructure.

Children/other facilities: Quite important to have amenities for children (playground/swimming pool etc) within the complex. Other amenities such as a gym, would be a bonus.

Children safety: Also to consider is child safety within the apartment/complex.

Full Telecom. accessibility: Must be able to get the best possible Internet/cable/telephone connections from our apartment, with no restrictions or shared bandwidth with the rest of the building.

Parking: Proper, secure parking facilities at the complex.
